... windows is one of the central hubs of Prague and is full of "tired" young people from many different countries although at first glance the UK seems to be most common. Some were sitting on the pavement looking rather exhausted at 7.30pm, somehow I don't think they were going to make it to Prague's famous nightspots :)

Tomorrow we plan a tour of the city then some shopping, but that is a story for another day.

... br> That said, we ended our holiday by attending an Andre Rieu concert at the O2 Arena, on the outskirts of Prague, along with 18'000 others. Wow, what a show and definitely one of our lifetime highlights. There was a good mix of old favorites, including Nessum Dorma, sprinkled with a few new pieces, balloons falling from the ceiling, dancing in the aisles, et al. What an unforgettable night.

... in the middle of more modern and even Italian looking buildings. It was a little strange but really fascinating to see. Then we headed back down towards the Charles bridge. This bridge was built in 1357 and has various statues on it, mostly saints and some of Christ. It also has that gothic look but it is really beautiful. ... We climbed the gatehouse at the end of Charles Bridge (Karlov Most), which I had wanted to do for several years. Previously, however, I had always had kids in a buggy to deal with.
