Took a packed lunch with us - need to work out what to eat when out exercising - in preparation for the Summer of cycling down the old Iron Curtain route. Historical Traveler Reviews The Fylde International Backpackers Blackpool
A weekend in Blackpool at the Fylde Hotel - you just cant book better. I was assisted by Vicky (the proprietor) over a period of 6 months to ensure all the Henette's and the Hen had a weekend to remember. I could not fault this hotel - with the exceptional service of the staff who dont believe anything is too much to ensure you have what you need - or to point you in the right direction for that special restaurant or show. From the moment we arrived, and hit the bar on the lower floor with seating and pool table, we were looked after - just like being at home only with better service, no cooking and a fully stocked bar with all of our favorite tipples, (as Vicky asked us in advance what we would like). Due to people arriving at different times, we ate at the hotel Friday night - the food is wonderful, there should be a calorie warning on some of the puds - but yum yum. Breakfast, with all the trimmings, set us up for the day, with a special request for a roast on Sunday being met with a smile - and very enjoyable it was too (and oh that treacle pud with custard). The rooms are clean, comfortable and stylish. The lounge with its leather sofas is a great place to hang out and read the papers that are available, or watch the TV or chat to your friends. If you are going to Blackpool - do yourself a favour and call the Fylde Hotel and enjoy the hospitality.
This hotel was an excelent place to stay, it is situated in an ideal quiet location, a 5-10 minute walk from the promenade, and the main shopping centre/arcades.
The people who own the hotel could not have made us feel more welcome if they tried, they were very friendly,
The hotel itself was imaculate, The food was all homecooked and excellent.
It was a pleasure to stay in.
We had an amazing weekend away in Blackpool which was partly due to the wonderful family who own the Fylde and the warm, comfortable atmosphere of their hotel. It was almost like staying with relatives - delicious home cooked breakfasts, comfy sun room with books, freeview and two gorgeous sleepy cats!
Our room was on the ground floor and absolutely spotless, as was the bathroom. All very tidy and hygenic. The rooms are light and airy, they have done a top job redocorating.
Well worth the fee per night (unlike some chain hotels I won't name). Will definitely return and will recommend to others.
For anyone wanting the perfect break in Blackpool, the Fylde hotel will suite all tastes as the perfect place to stay.
Excellent Hotel, Friendly Service, Really Good Value, Very Clean
We stayed for a weekend. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are really nice and clean and looked great.
Excellent service. Breakfasts were delicious as well. The staff are really friendly.
We enjoyed spending time in the bar before going out on the town, which was just a short walk away.
I will definatly stay at the Fylde Hotel next time I come to Blackpool.
A great wee hotel.
I have just returned from a 2 night break and i must say the Fylde is
a really nice hotel, the hosts couldn't do enough for us. Myself, wife, son, his freind and my father all had a very relaxing time, the
rooms were modern and very clean, the inter-connecting room was a big
plus, the sun lounge was nice and comfy with a dvd, freeview and loads of books to read, the bar was fine and the drinks were very reasonabily priced, there was also a pool table and plenty of board games which the kids liked, plenty of choice for breakfast, bar snacks and evening meals were avialable if you wanted them. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to my family, freinds or anybody as the hosts made our stay very pleasant indeed.
Lovely decorated, well maintained and ideally situated.
A really wonderful hotel extremely friendly family who really make you feel welcome. The hotel is very cheap for what you get the rooms are wonderful very comfortable with your own bathroom!!! which you don't normally get from a hotel in Blackpool!!!!, the bar is well stock and the prices are again very reasonable it is on average £2 per pint and 3 bottles for £5. The hotel boasts a class breakfast, wicked bar which is underground, part of it has been turned into a games room with a pool table and a couple of fruit machines/ games and class owners. The atmosphere is again very relaxed and laid back and would recommend to anyone going to Blackpool to choose the Fylde Hotel. I would just like to finally say we had a wicked New Year in Blackpool and was made even better by the hospitality the owners offered at the Fylde Hotel Thanks Again.
A great hotel!
Owned and run by the lovely Easley family the Fylde Hotel is a little gem. High quality service, comfortable beds and a warm welcome was all on the menu for our weekend away.
