We arrived very early in the morning after a long overnight bus journey, the manager was so helpful and got our double room ready as soon as the previous guests had left, we even had sweets on the pillow - a very nice touch! The hostel is separated into units so you share a kitchen between 2/3 rooms which works really well, the unit we were in was so homely, we loved it! We hired the electric bikes for the day and 'cycled' around the whole town - definitely the best way to get around. Once again, the manager was great and gave us a map of where to go and showed us how to use the bikes. All the amenities were clean and well looked after, we really wish we had stayed longer. Thanks for a great stay!

Booked another night in the room so that we could sort out where we were going.

Booked the greyhound and a tent in a Airlie Beach.

Didn't do much else. Sat about in the hostel. We were going to watch a dvd until I noticed the dvd player was non-existent.
Went to pay for Air-con in the room, was told that it was broken, the room remained hot.

Got up at 7:30 and got ready. Went and had breakfast at 9

Asked at the desk and they said they weren't sure if there would be a bus to the transit centre as it was knackered.

Got all out stuff together and checked out. Then waited to see if the bus would run.

Luckily the bus did run so didn't have to lug out bags there …

After a fun 2 nights at Agnes Water, it was time to pack (again) and get ready to jump onto the greyhound and head to Hervey Bay. As the Wifi was pretty decent at the hostel, we quickly skyped home for a travel update and off we went.

Despite the greyhound being a bit late, we journeyed onwards, passing …

Sorted out the trip to Fraser Island today. Will be going on a 2 day 1 night trip!

We then went off the find the government building to sort out the Medicare.

Managed to get it sorted, only problem is the card is being sent to Brisbane...

We then went off to the Fraser Coast discovery centre. Was cool, got to see all the …

Up at 10:00am and waiting to be picked up at 11:15.

We were taken to the marina and let in to the the boat "WhaleSong" after we watched some fish be fed. There was also a tiny puffer fish.

Set off from the marina, we sat right at the front.

On the way out we saw a turtle, a fish that jumped across the water and a crab …
