Les had a Pretty Polly, but I can't remember the name of Johns one.
After Raffles we wandered back down towards the river and nearly got knocked out by a rugby ball!! There's an international seven a side rugby competition taking place on the Singapore Cricket Ground and as we walked by a ball came over the temporary grandstand and almost hit us, most of teams are staying in our hotel and yesterday ...

... There are also bridges that go from one to the other. By this point, we were hot and tired and decided to revisit in the morning. Took the water taxi back and relaxed for a couple of hours and it was time for our night adventure. ... East Coast Seafood Centre. What a set-up! Any number of seafood restaurants set on the coast, and we're at Jumbo's, right on the waterfront. The place is hopping! Don't think I've ever seen a busier fuller place anywhere. Lucky we'd booked, so only had a short wait - watching in amazement, dozens of staff all with walk-talky earsets, hustle and bustle, and here's your table. Nice spot, looking out to sea, but we're here for the Crab - One Chilli Crab, one ...

After breakfast we once again went to the pool and thought we would find a spot away from the sun and providing shelter from the rain if it came. So we lay on the comfy lounges, read and used the ipad. The wind increased and we started to hear thunder, but no lightning. Soon the lightning came too and we were amazed that some other guests were still in the pool. Eventually they left though and it was lovely and quiet again ....... till the rain came. ...

... Ayam Bakar, which is grilled chicken that is marinated and then served with a lemak coconut milk-based yellow gravy with rice. The fish belado is also a non-spicy version, more reminiscent of a sundried tomato sauce with just a tinge of spice. The price ranges from roughly around $9 to $20.
