Awoke clutching my knife as a loud bang erupted from the streets below, I murmured something about the Flintstones and tried to doze off... but I couldn't because it was 25 Celsius. Today was the day I decided to check out of the lovely and authentic, but crummy Hotel Espaņa and into the new and tourist friendly Flying Dog Hostel In the safer Mi...
A travel blog entry from Lima by alex1138Lima Sometimes you just need the big city lights, the malls, and the cinemas oozing with Hollywood flicks and the scent of freshly popped popcorn to get you back into the mood to travel. In Lima, Peru's capital city of 8 million inhabitants, we found just the right mix of comforts and western delights that we were missing. We put up in the comfo...
A travel blog entry from Lima by ashifreeshmaToday was our first day of our travels and for the first morning we didnīt really leave the hostel. We spent our time sorting out and booking our first week. Finally after gettting buses hostels and activities sorted we moved on to actual sight seeing. A travel blog entry from Lima by ashimeldaI was a little nervous upon arriving in Peru. Maybe it was the worried women next to me on the plane continuously doing that cross thing with her hand as if the plane was nose diving to obliteration or maybe it was the American guy I was sat talking to in El Salvador airport kind of putting the ***** up me. Telling me to watch out, beware of tax...

A travel blog entry from Lima by kenthoiWe didnīt really want to go to Lima but we didnīt want a 23 hour bus ride either so we had to fly in and out of Lima to get to Cuzco. A travel blog entry from Lima by kerryandersEntry 12 of a trip titled: To Argentina and beyond, one man's wily adventures south of the equator. Let em' know.
Hey everybody! This is a journal of my seven months in Argentina and the insane (and sketchy)times that I will have. For those of you who know me, you know exactly what I'm talking about. For those of you who don't, be prepared for the experience (vicarious) of a lifetime. Be warned however, this is not your grandmama's red hat society trip. This is not a family trip to Disney World. You will not see Mickey, you will not pass go. Do not be scared though, I will make sure you arrive at your final destination safely and on time. Adios y buen suerte.

We were pretty much two zombies walking around with poorly packed backpacks. We got a cab ride for 40 soles (which is about ~13 dollars). He dropped us off at Cafe Chef w...
