... We looked in a few souvenir shops and had a good old chat with most of the owners. We went back to the same place as last night for lunch because it was so good and we were greeted with "maaate, same as last night?". We went for one last walk up to the top of the cable cart lookout over Santorini and the surrounding islands just to see it in the afternoon rather than sunset, just as beautiful. We treated ourselves to a cafe stop where the lovely owner gave us a vanilla ...

There are 3 ways up to the town from the base of the cliffs: a cable car, walk the 550 or so steps, or ride a donkey up those steps. We opted for the cable car. We bounced between a Scottish bar, the Highlander, and an Irish pub, Murphys. The boys at the door came to know Gee and I in particular. We didnt have a very late night, but we'd done some ...

... trying to make the most of their short visits. At 12 we we able to check in to our room and begin enjoying its fabulous location overlooking the caldera where we can see all the comings and goings of cruise ships and tenders. At the end of the day, we enjoyed our first Santorini Sunset from the balcony with a glass of wine. By the time the sun had finally set it was 9pm and we still had to go out to find a nice place for ...

    Just back from Santorini.

What an amazing trip. We took a "see Santorini in one day" tour with Kamari Tours and our tour guide was Tana (highly recommended).

The tour bus picked us up from Fira (the islands capital) at 9.15am and headed first for Mount Prophet Elias where we had we had panoramic views of Santorini, the Caldera (crater) and volcano.

We then headed on the bus and spent half an hour in the village ...
