... and down from the sun .... A litre of water on the walk barely hit the sides.

Back on board, we sailed to a smaller volcano (Palea Kameni) in the caldera, and anchored about 25-30m off shore. Here anyone who could swim, could jump in ... Or climb down the ladder as I did, and swim to the shoreline to soak in the hot water of the mineral springs. I decided to swim slowly towards the land, cooling down after the hot walk. By this stage, people ...

... there Liv, Nikki and I got free t-shirts as we did 7 shots each at rehab bar (what were we thinking) The following day we just sat by the pool all day and walked around the minimal amount of shops before we went to far out beach club where they were filming a film clip so it was crazy!! After we had a late dinner, we went to the bakery and supermarket and got lots of cold meats, dips and bread for dinner and ...

As we got closer to Fira it dawned on me how many stairs we'd walked DOWN, obviously meaning we'd be walking ...

... Only upon our return, did one of the guests at our hotel point out that there is an ancient city buried under volcanic ash near the beach that was recently excavated. We missed that so will have to do that, once again, on our return.

The highlight of today was Amoudi Bay for dinner. It was spectacular and my favourite tourist spot in Santorini. Its a small bay and an old fisherman's spot, right ...

... definitely the best time to visit..the place is quiet, yet all the bars are still open, playing some lazy music which goes splendidly with a chilled beer as you sit on a white comfy chair overlooking the slow waves caressing the black sand. Yes, this stretch is actually called the Black Beach! A bit weirded, but not that much really. Lovely place, definitely worth a visit. We spend the rest of the day cruising on our 200CC quadibke, driving it ...
