Yes I am still in Frankfurt. I checked out and went to the Europcar counter to pick up my VW Golf. One word “Denied!” I could not rent because I do not have a credit card. So I walked back to my hostel and booked myself back in for a couple of nights.

Location - right in the middle of the red light district and minutes walk away from Frankfurt HBF, with tram and U/S Bahn close by.
Room - I had a single on level 7. Room is great, big, clean with cupboard and LCD tv. However, heater doesn't really work in winter so you'd be freezing at night. Also, the free wifi doesn't extend there, which didn't bother me that much after getting a local sim sorted.
People - Staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. The crowd is a mix of young to old and even suites.

Super convenient location if you're just passing through Frankfurt, but be aware that it's in the middle of the red light district - perfectly safe, but some may have issues with this. Great common areas with a TV, pool table, kitchen in the basement. Main floor has tons of tables and chairs for lounging, chatting, drinking, using the computer, etc. It's my second time staying here and I'll likely come back the next time I'm in Frankfurt.
