I wont write too much as i cant really be bothered.. but i do actually have another 150 pics from bundy to add but i thought i would send this anyway.... i'll add...

... running up and down screaming. It was a nice hostel, but it was the type I normally try to avoid. It was a former police station, and named Cellblock in honour of the listed building.

I spent Friday walking around town looking for fruit picking work, as I’m getting desperately low on funds, but everywhere had the same story that I would need to hang ...

... strawberries we have ever eaten here bought direct from the grower. We probably won't ever wan to eat Woolies strawbs ever again.

The park was adjacent to the beach and we slept and woke to the sounds of the ocean, and the lorikeets, which is magical. Sometimes we can hear the surf in Kiama, but it is not quite the same as being so close. There was a great 5km walking track along the headland, but let's not tell too many ...

The reason for travelling to LA via Bundaberg

... for was the backpacker hostels - mostly old buildings with big balconies and everyones washing out for the world to see. After a pretty big walk in the wrong shoes (I was trying to keep everything I'd packed for the US in a separate bag to not forget anything I needed so I was wearing my very clever thongs with a bottle opener which while functional at a BBQ are not as comfortable to walk great distances in...) I went to the shopping centrem found what seems to quickly becoming our ...

Nothing lost (YET) but a few things forgotten

... to ask for the details... oops...

So now I'm just wandering around Bundy, trying not to shop and waiting for the afternoon when we will see Kat and Mat get married!!!

Tomorrow will be a (hopefully more comfortablethan the bus) first class train ride for four hours, hopefully quick catch up with Grandma, watch the Moranbah girls play hockey and dinner with Mum and Shanelle before trying to get a little sleep Sunday night!!! and NOT LOSE MY PASSPORT!

Back to Bundy

Monday 23rd April It was 0700h when I let go AR's lines and MrJ steered her out of Urangan Harbour. We were now heading for Bundy, where our Oz experience first started last year, 2008, in July when MrJ and I (with passenger Dusty on board) sailed into Oz from our gigantic Pacific crossing. The passage up to Bundy was a little choppy but we did get some sailing in, the wind being 15k most of the way. It was still the usual upset headache for me but I think I ...

Turtles, Turtles Everywhere!

... and then dug up the nest the turtle had just laid. She laid out the eggs in rows of 10 in order to count them (156!) and then we lined up with cupped hands to get one or two eggs. We walked them over to the new nest where another ranger put them in. They looked like ping pong balls and were a little soft (had to be as the nest is so deep that they fall a bit of distance, so they cannot be hard or they break). Then the nest was covered up and the location noted so that ...

One of hteresident scientists came down and lookedit over. She told us it was a 10year old logger head turtle and was very malnorished. She thought most likley it had eaten a plastic bag and couldn'e digest food. After snorkleing amonst the little jelly fish that the ...

Living in Bundy

... on the river not very comfortable. So far JJ has put the new vents in the clothes locker doors, installed a couple of 240v power points, put new label on the power board, pulled the bikes out of the forward locker cleaned then down and put the back together (we have not used them as yet) and installed a new water pump under the sink. I have done my bit; put the new matting under the spare beds and made them up with sheets blanket and doona, stowed all the charts under one of ...

( the inside of this vat looked like looking down at the Canoe Club in Victoria. Huge wooden beams and intricate wood work...pretty fancy for a mollasses vat!) Then off to the ...
