Eurohostels Edinburgh

We are visiting the UK and Norway at the end of May and first part of June in 2010. I have never been to Europe and am very excited about it.

... us to the airport. We went on an airline similar to Jetstar... they called us all up, then left us standing in line for about half an hour before we boarded. I think someone had cabin luggage which should have gone in with the other luggage or something.... anyway... when we got to Stanstead we walked the length of the airport to the Bus Terminal where we had a wonderfully comfortable hour-long trip back to Cambridge...... then ... we ...

... like we have taken a step into the past with all of the Georgian period buildings and most even older then that. But also, check out the key to our room, crazy! Each room is named after a Scotland legend and our room is a tribute to Robert Louis Stevenson. We have learned so much about him staying here.

We walked the Royal Mile today and took a tour of Edinburgh Castle. We have uploaded some pictures of our journey today and a video on the top of the castle.

... living in Edinburg, so he didn't have the cool Scottish accent (Craig Fergussen anyone?), but he was a great guide and knew a lot. We learned about all kinds of great stories... For example, there's a picture of me spitting on a heart. It is where the tax collectors booth used to be, and people used to spit on the door... so when that disappeared they put it in the sidewalk, and people still spit in the center. We haven't done too much sightseeing just yet, but as we do we'll post pictures and update you on our life... ... to dinner with our office and several members of the Westminster SNP Press and Research staff for an Intern Bash. I am looking forward to dinner, but not to saying goodbye to friends that have been like family to me these past few months. Hopefully our paths will cross again.
