... are some modern fountain sculptures, the Plague column and pretty coloured historical buildings along its edges. We must have a thing about going to places undergoing construction, because much of the old town was undergoing some pretty major refurbishment work so there were tractors and diggers and scaffolding blocking some streets. ... Currently in a town in the Czech republic called Pilzen. Arrived at 6.30 pm after a total of 420 miles on the road, pretty much most of it in the rain.

Highlight of the day was watching some guy trying to kick start a Harley at a petrol station....I'd have told him where he was going wrong but he was bigger than me.....he'd never have cought me on the bike though.....

... experienced in Minnesota, but now, the rain has turned quite serious. Just like we told them that all the snow was “not normal” for April/May, they tell us all the rain is “not normal” for spring.

... We loaded up on pastries and some local snacks and decided to drive for Prague that afternoon, a little over an hour north.

Other than lots of bad Czech music on the radio, the drive to Prague was uneventful and we arrived around 1:00pm and dropped off our bags at the Hotel Hastal (not a hostel, pronounced haz-STALL).
