Darwin - get me out of here
After an easy flight from Cairns, I arrive in Darwin with Linda, my new German friend. She had already booked into a hostel, so I decided to join her at the same hostel. Wow do I regret that decision! The place was like a prison, dark and dirty and the other inmates were an interesting lot - all with incomprehensible acccents (yes, worse than my …
The Top End
We'd been looking forward to our penultimate day before our traveling break. Thanks to Jo's parents we had the money to book a trip to the Litchfield National Park. Litchfield is supposed to be very similar to Kakadoo but smaller and easier to reach from Darwin so its possible to see parts of it in a day.

Got to the hostel and …

This hostel is absolutely disgusting. It's like staying in a prison cell. One staff member is ridiculously rude. There are bed bugs and then staff don't even apologise for this. My arms are bitten to shit. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
