... vouloir rester au lit. Des microbes invincibles se sont donnés rendez-vous dans nos organismes. Mercredi 5 novembre, le fièvre me cloue au lit. Terry ne se sent pas mieux. Ça a été télé toute la journée en anglais sous titré en espagnol, heureusement. Le soir au dîner, je n'arrive même pas à avaler quelque chose. Our dune buggy driver was insane and though we were the third buggy in our group he was constantly going higher and faster over the dunes than the other drivers were. The Museum was just S/2. They gave you at 53 page book to read about the civil war that last 2 decades. Here I thought I had finished with war museums, but I guess not.

I signed up for the Wari tour for tomorrow on the way home.

... was the tourist office for Carnaval info as chairs already set up in the Plaza. Turns out the daily parade of costumed groups and their musicians starts at noon and winds it’s way very slowly to the Plaza not arriving until at least 3, even later today for some reason. The blinding heat had been replaced by lightning cut black clouds that threatened much but thankfully produced little.

... has about 2000 different types of potato. Had some fantastic pork soup, made by a lovely old lady. And who would have thought that queso helado (cheese ice cream) actually tasted good! But the real reason for my visit to arequipa was the Colca Canyon hike. So I spent 2 days walking into (and then up!) the second deepest canyon in the world. ...
