9/8/11 Hello all, I got here safely and have had a nice first day. The 5am flight has been a double edged sword; it's let me have a full day in Berlin today but at 8am, I'm completely incapable of sampling any of Berlin after dark.  I've never been to a city abroad twice before. The first instinct is to visit the places that make a city famous. I' …

Fully Sick

A travel blog entry by scoobadood

So it's been a few days without an update. As some of you will know I have been as sick as a dog. What started off as a snuffle in Moscow turned into a raging flu in St Petersburg. I was running a temperature of 39-40 degrees, sweating ridiculously, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. I made an effort to get out in St Petersburg one day and it nearly …

Was great though, our 75 year old guide has lived in Berlin for 26 …

given me. At times the city feels more like a movie, as you walk amongst the historical buildings
and monuments you feel as if you are living the times. Walking through the Holocost Memorial is
a true sensory experience. You see this are and …

Good prices, bathrooms not ensuite but no problems queuing. Missed the free Monday night veggie meal but sounded great
