The hostel has a nice vibe to it, and the animals around the place are nice. Ejected pretty quickly from the room at about 10 to 12 when check out was midday which is the only complaint. Other than that the beds were nice, and the water was hot

Our only regret is we could not stay longer. Christopher and his wife Maria de Lourdes host a wonderful hostile with one of the best and most informative hostel websites we have come across.(David @ Ka'beh take notice) We highly suggest staying here. We stayed in a very affordable private dbk/shared bath that was comfy and clean. Sorry for any misspellings. Our system will not allow spelling changes. dumb computer.... Awesome hostile. Can't even edit my misspellings. sorry

nothing special, but all the basic stuff for a good hostel. clean & safe. nice breakfast included. good option either just for transit (10 min taxi ride both to bus terminal and airport) or to explore the - unexpected - nice city. brandnew waterfront (malecon) and picturesque old town area (barrio las penas) in 20 min taxi ride. big & fancy city mall also very close (5 min walk).

close to airport and bus station, only $4 each way. Breakfast included is ok, eggs, toast coffe and juice. Not much of an atmosphere, not a hostel where people stay long, usually on their was to the islands. Staff friendly, beds comfy and rooms have fans and are ensuite. Close to shopping centre if you wanna cook dinner

The hostal is clean and safe with nice friendly staff. It has communal areas with cable tv, free internet and free breakfast. Its only 2km from the airport and bus terminal. However, it is 6km from the city centre. There are local buses running into the city from the end of the street but it can be quite a journey.

A painless second, and last rabies booster vaccination in Loja followed our last breakfast in Izhcayluma prior to an eight hour bus journey to Guayaquil, Ecuador's largest city, located in the west of the country. We would be flying to the Galapagos the next morning so it made sense to stop over for a night. We considered a night …

      Nothing day; Cinema at night

A travel blog entry by ericjon97 on Sep 15, 2014

I did nothing today, and it was great. I watched a few TV shows, uploaded some blogs that I didn't have good enough wifi to upload when I was on the islands, and just chilled. I went for a walk around the mall down the street, did a little shopping, and got to go to the cinema. I saw the movie Lucy, with Scarlett Johansson. It was weird, but good. …

      NFL Sunday!!

A travel blog entry by ericjon97 on Sep 14, 2014

Today was football day, and it was phenomenal! I got up late, had a great breakfast at the hostel, and then got to watch the pre game shows, and all the NFL games that were showing on my dad’s TV. It was brilliant! I wasn’t able to do that last week for the opening week of the NFL, but I got to see it this week. It worked out well …

I left the Galapagos Islands today to head back to the mainland. It started with an early rise in Puerto Ayora so I could get packed up and ready to go. I met Rike and Joe at their hotel at 9am and we shared a taxi to the canal, where we then got the ferry to Baltra, and then a bus to the airport. We got to the airport exactly two hours before the …

Wasted day at police station; On to Guayaquil

A travel blog entry by ericjon97 on Sep 04, 2014

I had a pretty bad day today, but it ended better than it started. I got up this morning and found my insurance documents that stated I do need a police report for my stolen items if I want to make a claim. I headed down to the police station, and ended up sitting there for three hours and never got seen by an officer. In the three hours I was …
