We made our way into town with Evan and Alanna (Melbs) this morning and met up with our tour guide in the main Old square. It's a scorching hot day...let's hope it stays that way! Our guide is Andrea too haha - and she's from Slovakia (which was part of Czech Republic back when it was called Czech Slovakia). She gave us a lot of information of the town. And we even went to the Jewish quarter where the Jews were separated from everyone ...

... for the hospital which was run by the monks to be outside the wall. This was so any travellers could be checked for disease before being admitted to the town. Patients had to pay for this service. In the 16th century the wall was changed to include the hospital, as the monks were becoming too rich and powerful and it was feared that they might take over the city. The gates were closed at 10pm at night,so if any of the men who had business outside the town had ...

... miles and right by the water and restaurants, and not many tourists they are all in old town----
Found another excellent spot off the Metro at Hurka, walk around the lake, another area where people live in apartments, but they are all nice ones, Lots of new ones and once again lots of young people. A big walking area. Playgrounds and lots of Moms walking their babies.
Off Metro at Zlicin, went to an Italian place for pizza and beer, was fun ...

... in churches as they never thought a church would be burgled. One thief entered the St James church, waited till it closed then climbed the Virgin Mary statue to grab some pearls. The statue grabbed his hand and he was found in the morning. The Priest not wanting to ruin the statue arranged a local butcher to chop off his hand. At this point the statue let go of the hand and resumed it's original position. The statue no longer ...

... was awesome :) So we took pictures and spent the day walking around the city with them. We headed back to our hostels around 6 and decided to meet up for dinner later that night. We were all just super tired of hardly any sleep! We met up with them for dinner and ate at an Asian bistro---delicious food again! We parted our ways and said our goodbyes. It was so nice to see "family" in Prague! We headed back to the hostel and called it a night.

    Next stop: Vienna, Austria!
