27.5.2014 Patong Beach (Phuket), Thailand Km: 62202 Problems with the police / Probleme mit der Polizei

I am a little surprised when I walk in the evening in Patong Beach in the party street around. I see more Go-Go bars and tourists in Pattaya. We also feel more the curfew than in Kao Lak. The police is not as strict as in Bangkok, but the go-go bars close at 22:00! But they check the helmet law better and stop me because ...

We have a lovely room, which I think means we'll be in for a bit of a shock when we do out home stays, which are next! Getting a bit apprehensive about the trekking, butj I'm sure we'll be fine! Just going to stock up on Oreos to keep us going I think! Quick update ... After supper, the kids were all in the kind if open air hall, ...

... making full use of their free shower gel by refilling my own bottles! And then took my bags up the road to find the local bus station. I bought myself a pad Thai for breakfast then caught a bus from one bus station to another (for 10 baht - what a bargain!) and then caught another local bus to Khao Sok which cost me 170 baht -also a massive bargain! When I asked a tour operator for a quote for the same trip they said 1300 baht! So I'm definitely doing things myself from now ...
