The room was fine. No extras tho. Had a bed, fan, and metal clothes hanger. Good breakfast in the morning.

room is a bit crampy but provision of facilities is everything a hostel should provide for. Lift is a bit slow but other than that everything seems good.

Huge hostel, kind of lacking in any atmosphere. Cinema room was cool but no drinking rule left for a bit of a boring stay. Not a great place to meet people if it's your first stop but well serviced by airport buses so convenient.

The place was OK, too big for me...lots and lots of people and pretty much everyone minding their own business. Internet connection was available only in the common room, meaning that at times when you entered the hostel you almost had to walk over people who were sitting on the floor because there were no chairs/sofas for everyone. During my stay, the elevators broke down a couple of times, as well as the laundry machines...but overall I enjoyed my stay, the staff was really nice and polite, and they organize tours around the city, as well as having their own job office and tourist agency. Free breakfast and a bar/pub open every night.

It took 20 minutes to walk to the hostel and a 45 minute wait to check in! The hostel was ridiculously busy and they only had a trainee on reception. Eventually we checked in to be told they had no record of our payment we had made previously. Luckily I still had the receipt and gave it to the guy. On hindsight I wish I had kept it as every time we …

Upon arrival in Melbourne you could have easily mistaken our destination as somewhere not so exotic, like England. This was due to one overriding factor of the never ending rainfall!. Furthermore it was that fine rain that simply soaks you wet could only imagine our disappointment! However, Melbourne as a city certainly lived up to …

I only had a short day and a half in Melbourne. Luckily I met a woman on my wine tour in NZ that was on the same flight and had a friend in the city. When we arrived on Melbourne Patricia's friend picked us up at the bus station and drove me to my hostel. Later we did a driving your of the city and went for dinner at a really cool tapas spot. Sadly …
