After 2 flights and 3 stops we finally arrived in Rwanda. We left Abu Dhabi at 6am on Sunday morning having not gone to bed the night before due to the Formula One and Nickelback concert. We caught our Qatar flight to Kigali via Doha and Entebbe, most passengers got off at Entebbe so it was weird sitting on a 150 seater plane with only 10of us. We …

Our days of relaxation in the lap of luxury allowed us some time to regroup and abuse the free Internet in Mwanza. It also proved to be a good place to carry out our necessary travel medical procedures that we had been putting off and our first aid kit took a beating. First on the list was removing the rather worrying worm sack that had attached …

Great (and only) backpackers in Kigali

Were very satisfied with our accom in KIgali. The position in the city is perfect, and the hostel is clean and friendly. While it is rather expensive to stay here ($20 camping!!) it is an expensive city so the price seems right. Close to all amenities and knowledgeable about things to do in Kigali and Rwanda too.
