... but it killed the whole day as I probably walked about another 15km in my refusal to go on an open top tour bus. There were some dudes playing dominoes and that was about it. No Spicey Bob’s – Disappointing! Had a couple of beers with Diego in the evening sitting out on a bench viewing the skyline which was pretty cool before retreating back to his air conditioned haven to try and plan my ultimately pointless trip out the Florida Key’s.

... flight, when I looked out the window I found myself feeling almost disoriented. Looking down at the ocean it was just as blue as the sky. In the distance was a small thin layer of clouds. They appeared to be at about our same altitude. Focusing on the clouds it was difficult to tell if we were flying upside down or right side up! It was beautiful though.

DAY 0 …… Thursday, January 17th ………… Melbourne Beach, Florida
The start of another ……… adventure.
This time it’s Carnival in Rio and a trip up the Amazon with interludes in the Caribbean.
So today it’s time to head South to spend the evening and overnight with our long-time
friends Kathy and Neal and their son Bryce in Boca Raton.
... then onto the plane. We have a slight problem on the plane as the woman in our window seat should be on the other side of the plane. It is sorted, and we settle down. She is French Canadienne, but has good English, and friendly. The flight takes off in bad weather, is seriously rough, and we land at Montreal in some of the same.
