Run-down hostel compared to other YHA I have been. There are not lockers in the room which is a let down and I think it is over priced for what it is. The staff is friendly but dont know much about Darwin or where things are. It feels like they just go in Darwin and still learning their way around.

Om 07.00 uur waren wij weer On the road. Katherine gorg was onze eerste stop.

In Mataranka we swam in some beautiful ‘natural springs’ - they were lovely and warm and so clear! At the second swimming area some people told us that freshwater crocodiles lived up stream at the hotel, this didn’t really faze us until we were swimming past some suspect looking reeds and we all felt something brush past us! Well, the four of us had never swum so fast as that moment to get out of the water, we never did find out ...

          THE OUTBACK

... stopped off at the Alice Springs sign and took our group photo. That evening we went to Overlander's Steakhouse for a Drover's Blowout dinner which consisted of crocodile, camel, emu and kangaroo. Everyone climed this ladder in the restaurant and signed the ceiling. Then we all danced around with wobble boards and sang the Gum Tree song. Then we went out to Bojangle's Bar, had a few drinks and went home.
30th May - Went into Alice Springs town to do some internet and had ...
