Uyuni/Salt Flats Trip (Salar de Uyuni) - continued
After dropping off Leora and Eytan at the Chilean border, our plans took us back to Uyuni, a solid 7 hour drive through the mountains. The drive back was beautiful; parts of this scenery reminded us of Colorado. Our jeep driver …

We entered Bolivia via border crossing with Peru. Throughout our stay in Peru, we were gleaning intelligence from fellow travelers about the Lake Titicaca at Puno/Copacabana border crossing (there is no reliable information on the internet relating to travel …
La Paz
We eagerly arrived in La Paz on the 12th. La Paz is a great city from what we have seen. Firstly, it is super cheap, we got a twin room with ensuite for only about $12 each a night and we can get a soup, main meal and drink for dinner for around $5. At one point i got out over 2000 bolivianos from the atm and was stressing about carrying it around …
Pilvikaupunki, kuoleman tie ja lennokkaita tätejä
La Paz on monellakin tapaa hengästyttävä kaupunki. Yksi tekijä on kaupungin sijainti 3600 metrissä (oikeasti ripoteltuna 3000-4000 metrin välille), mikä jo sinällään tekee kaupunkikierroksista aika uuvuttavia. La Paz - The Worlds Most Dangerous Road!
We left Uyuni at 8pm (not on the original bus we had booked- supposedly this was full but we got the next best one). It was a chaotic start to say the least… a mixture of locals and tourists, with 3 people all booked onto seat 10, Ish's seat. Luckily we got there first! People were fighting over seats and one guy stormed off the bus for an …
TravelPod Member ReviewsCruz de los Andes La Paz
We stayed at this hostel twice. The first time for only 2 days and the second time for 6 days. This hostel was great. The rooms are nice, good beds. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. They also offer free breakfast. This hostel is well located only 10 minutes downhill to all the tourist shopping and San Francisco main square. The staff is excellent, very welcoming and helpful There is also a good travel agency right in this hotel. We booked several plane flights and train tickets through them. I would stay here again and would highly recommend it.

We showed up at 5AM after an overnight bus and they were wonderful, put us up in their hotel for the same price. Great breakfast with a lovely view.
