Schaffhausen is a small town from you can visit the Rhin Falls, the bigger waterfalls in Europe.
You can take bus number 1 from the train station and, in about 10 minutes, you have to step off in "Neuhausen Zentrum". From there there a lot of pannels indicating the direction to the waterfalls. You can reach them in about 7-8 minutes on foot. …

Time to move on, and after a quick breakfast we packed up
and set off for Schaffhausen, a really nice town further down the Rhine from Kreuzlingen.
The trip was only about 40kms and we soon arrived and booked into our new
campsite. The Rhine is literally flowing on our doorstep and the site is

The rest of the day was spent cycling around the region. We
rode about 20kms up the river to Stein am Rhine where we had a bite to eat
    after which ...

We came back home by late ...

... an all organic kind of way - we took the tram back to the main station and then headed across the river to have a ride on the Polybahn which is a funicular railway - unfortunatly it closes at 2 on a Saturday and it was 2.30 when we got there - not our day, clearly. We then walked down to the lake (Sam tormented a few Swans on the way - well he fed them Paprika flavoured pringles). The walk down was very ...

... take their cameras with them and regularly stop
to capture the beautiful scenery. I wish I had done the same myself. At times
the slopes are so steep that even the most skilled and experienced runners have
to walk for a while. This was a good opportunity to chat with people and
recharge my energy levels. I was actually a little sad the marathon ended, it
was so peaceful and unspoilt during the run, I think ...
