... here is very dependent on the winds that blow up off the Adriatic Sea and because of the hilly terrain and no rivers there is no irrigation - or much water at all for that matter, with Hvar's water coming from the mainland by undersea pipe!
Lavender was one of the staple crops grown here for many years, but a series of fires a few years ago wiped out pretty much all the plants! The veggies etc grown are pretty much for the ...

... I went under the jetty. Riley and Zara walked in the water to the back rock we were going to sit at.
We were under where Mum and Dad were sitting. Zara said, I want to go back up, so we did and when we were hopping back up a massive set of waves came.
We got up just in time. I got up with no water on me. Zara got a little wet, and Riley got the first wave on his feet.

... This is the main windsurfing beach in Croatia. We then continued to Stari Grad on the island of Hvar where we moored for the evening. ... where the water is dirty blue-brown, in Croatia the turquoise water is 100% transparent allowing you to see the vibrant life at the bottom of the sea for meters.
