Tuesday 15th October
The lovely Marti met us at the apartment on the Tuesday, morning took us by the hand and placed us in front of the train to Prague - gave us a hug wiped our noses and sent us on our way north. (Anybody travelling to Budapest? - contact us - her apartment is absolutely amazing.)

We got a late start and decided that since half of the day was over we should just do something small. Connor is not big on zoos, but Ethan and I like them, so that was what we did.

... to eat before heading to the cathedral and the castle. Both of these are on top of one of the biggest hills in Prague and offer a beautiful view of the city. The church was very old and the architecture was beautiful. We did not pay for the tour which would have granted us full access to the church, but we were allowed to go into the church and take a look around. After that episode Kel and I went and had some dinner and a few drinks to get rid of our remaining crown. The other girls went out on a pub crawl. Ah to be young again HA ha ha. They like to remind me I'm 10 years older. Today had to be the funniest day of the whole trip. I don't think I stopped laughing all day.

Though it is less like what we think of as a castle, and more like a walled city on a hill The castle provides great panoramic views over the city, and has its own cathedral in the center. St. Vitus Cathedral is just as impressive as Notre Dame in my opinion, and the wait was 0 minutes vs Notre Dame's 2 hours (and we were there on a weekend).
