A lovely island at the north of the Yasawas

This place is waaaaay up north in the island chain but again, the staff are lovely and greet you with a handshake as you walk up the beach from your boat landing. Make sure you take the snorkelling trip to Blue Lagoon Beach, and take a walk up to the top of the mountain on the island to watch the sun set. Epic doesn't even come close. A fifteen minute walk around the coast to the southern beach on the island takes you to another resort beach which is less windy and has much smoother water. I chilled out here for a good few hours before the tide came in and I had to bounce before I got cut off

          Bula from Fiji!!

We had a fab flight with Fiji airways who automatically replenished our drink of choice several times with no reminding or asking required, very impressive! We were greeted at the airport with traditional Fijian singing.

Fiji is made up of 300 islands, we chose our resort as the outlying islands have the best …

          Bula Bula!

Just over half way through our stay at Coral View and so I've been tasked with the blog update while Nicola does the washing - we've pretty much sweated our way through all the clothes we've brought!

We've tried to partake in activities every day we are here, with some being more relaxing than others. On the relaxing …

          Day 1

After a longish boat journey we arrive at Coralview. Greeted by more singers we turned up just in time for lunch! :) Paying for food separately here meant we were giving options and got to choose our meals this time round.

We were taken to our '10 bed dorm' which turned out to be 20 beds - bunk beds to which there was one …

The beach had the whitest, powdery sand with a backdrop of rainforest vegetation and coconut trees and in front the water was crystal clear with a blue lagoon separating other surrounding islands - as a matter of fact, this island became popular after the movie "The Blue Lagoon" was filmed here. Before that it was ...

Eventually another resorts boat came to our rescue and once we were on the catamaran, it very nealr collided with a moored yacht and was stopped just in the nick of time - although I'm quite sure the American aboard jumped onto our boat and was going for the driver! I got off the boat just over the passage from Safe Landing to Sunrise resort and did not recieve a musical welcome. Instead we got the welcome of the ...

We walked only 5 minutes to the top of the hill for a great view of the resort and Wayalailai island nextdoor, but as we were stood there, Ruben pointed out the mountain further inland with that I was keen to go. So off we walked towards the peak, passing through a village on the way. The village has only 200 people living there and is very ...
