This hostel is great. We stayed here for 4 weeks and loved it. There's lots of communal space including a well equipped kitchen and TV room. We stayed in a few different rooms, the 5 bed we stayed in was fine but the 8 bed room was very crapped. The best thing about the rooms is that they are air conditioned! Some of the staff are lovely, some of them are very miserable erving up typical Australian customer service. Stay here, you'll have a great time!!!

    Great Room!

We stayed in a private double with en-suite, it was more like staying in a hotel than a hostel, with towels, tea and coffee making facilities, shampoo, soap and a t.v. All aspects of bedroom were really clean, we got free wifi and the communal lounge area was great. The kitchen is good size, with a lot of appliances but was often a bit of a mess.

We arrived in Melbourne after just a 4 hour flight from Auckland. The plane journey was pretty good as the entertainment screens had Breaking Bad on. We watched a few episodes and before we knew it, we'd arrived! It was 1.30am Aussie time, but we were still working on NZ time where it was 3.30am so we were pretty knackered. Because of this we very …

I had a wander around the city this morning before heading off to St Kilda for the night, saw the 'graffiti street' and Chinatown and did some more shopping :-) Then I got the tram to St Kilda and had a wander around but I don't get what all the fuss is about, it probably doesn't help that its raining but I get bored and go back to the hostel. Flies in Melbourne are different to England. They seem sightly more aggressive. A fly will land on your cheek - bzz. You swat it away (and begin the use of the famous 'bush salute'), but bzz - it just swaps to the other side of your face. Try again, and bzz - it's immediately on your forehead. They care not for your pathetic attempts to swipe th...
