... toeristen echt super duur. Je merkt ook echt dat de toeristen heel erg gescheiden worden gehouden van de locals. Andere bussen, andere restaurants en officieel mogen locals niet eens met toeristen praten tenzij je in de toeristenindustrie werkt. Hierdoor voelden heel veel dingen een soort van nep. Het viel ook heel erg op dat alle toeristengedeeltes veel mooier waren dan waar de locals leven. Dat was echt een heeel stuk armer. Daarbij weten de locals dat je veel meer ...

... dinner for our first night. What started out fairly low key with dinner then a few of us heading out for a few more drinks ended with our new tour guide and I hitting the **** pretty hard and with me waking up with a hang over the following day.
Good start to the tour or bad start to the tour? I’m still to work that one out. Tulum is the next stop so we’ll see where we go from there.

SCUBA DIVING!!!
... that we spent a whole hour down there! My scuba buddy James and I had a fabulous time.
On our way back home we walked around the island that we scuba dived at, which is about half an hour ferry ride from Playa del Carmen called Cozumel. We walked past shops full of tourist stuff and the best comment was made by the last guy at a tourist store we walked by before us and our scuba diving bracelets made it back to the ship – "More Junk – less money?" ...
