... the counter at the hostel. He was a strange kid with some strange stories! However, hanging out with them for a couple of hours while waiting for the rain to stop was worthwhile. Eventually, I headed out and meandered aimlessly for a few hours before heading back to the hostel for some rest. Later on in the night, I caught up with some couchsurfers for a couple of beers and called it a night. It had been quite tiring being on the bus and early night in was quite a pleasure.

Day 14 & 15: Red Light Green Light

... and Geoff was able to eat right away. We decided to take transit back and had another scare! I made the wrong decision to stay on our train when we reached Amsterdam Central. We flew right past our stop and went 30mins out of the city to a town called Almere. Luckily the trains were running late and we got a ride right back to our stop. We climbed the stairs to our room and crashed for the night.

... I got hers as well. Our final stop on our tour day was on a walking tour of the red light district. Our guide was really knowledgeable, I think he had spent many a year wandering the strip and getting to know the girls. He was very “flamboyant” if you know what I mean! Oslo to Amsterdam

Lesley and Barry visited the new Opera House this morning. It is overlooking the harbour and it has an extraordinary amount of marble on the outside and in the inside.

Walking up on to the roof on the chattered marble and viewing all the glass of the building and panoramic view of Oslo harbour. The harbour is just a working harbour not very pretty but there is work being done to rectify this.

... we missed the never-ending tour group lines! While there, I noticed a gentleman wearing an Aggie Ring. Ramsey confirmed after my whisper.
