London
Well I was in London for about 4 days. It was cloudy and dreary pretty much the whole time.. And once again I loved it! I stayed in the Clink 78 hostel about 5 minutes walking distance away from Kings Cross Station which proved to be very handy. I continued on the trend of finding the Sandemans walking tours.. I advise everyone to go on one if they …
I CAN'T THINK OF A GOOD TITLE. BAHHHH.
Alright, more on Primark in a bit...but I'll start with what Kim and I did yesterday:
We went to the National Gallery, which I thought was amazing. SO many paintings, impossible to see everything in one go but we saw all of the main things that we wanted to. And for the first time on the trip - Kim was ready to go and I could have stayed …
Photo-ops galore.
It had to happen:
photos walking across Abbey Road, and photos at Platform 9 3/4.
There's no avoiding it, but still, it sneaked up on you and you feel so ridiculously tourist-ee. Not in a bad way though, it's actually quite hilarious. We started with the Platform, considering the train station is a ten minute walk from our hostel. After …
I should probably be going to bed...
As stated above, I should be going to bed because I'm exhausted, but:
a) I know my mother sleeps better after reading these (and I'm going to go out on a limb and say my aunts as well, yes?)
b) I don't wanna go to bed.
...and why don't I want to go to bed? BECAUSE I HAVE LESS THAN 48 HOURS LEFT IN LONDON, AND CURSES TO SPENDING …
Last....day....ASJKFJSFAHBFHBASFBJB
ugh. I knew this blog entry would come...but it's even harder to write than I thought it would be. I've already given up packing and pouted all the way downstairs to come on the computer...and now this is even more depressing.
I didn't do too much on my last day in London, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Kim and I did our own …

Clink has been a great base to explore London, for the price the comfortable clean dorms and common areas, location and free breakfast are fantastic. The only problem is that because it is so large (700+ beds) and caters to a lot of families and especially groups of highschool children, it doesn't provide the same opportunities to meet many people. Otherwise the staff are really friendly and helpful, the only issue with the facilities is that the wifi is expensive.

I was only there for 1 night and a total of 8 hours but it seemed like a pretty cool hostel, heaps of people milling about. Amenities were good and all bedding was supplied. I think it cost 28 quid which isn't the cheapest but if you have the money then this would be a good place to base yourself!

Clink was a good value for my money. It was close to the Tube and bus routes to downtown and close to restaurants. It was clean and nicely decorated. Internet was 50p per 15 minutes. Large tv room. The breakfast was included in the price (toast, ceral, tea, coffee, hot chocolate).

Something a bit different, good price and friendly staff. 5-10 minute walk from Kings Cross Rail and Tube Stations. Plenty shops, little Cafe's Restaurants and Bars nearby. (Recommend the Italian at end of the road as they do take away Pizza's tho if there's a group of you try haggling for a discount to sit in, we did - 20%.
Has a bar in it and Internet Access. ( top up at the box on wall in reception)
Used it a couple times as seems to be pretty consistent and not to lively.
The Dorm beds with partitions are a nice feature..

Stayed in a double ensuite with my husband. Very small, but clean and comfortable. Standard hostel breakfast. Nice mixture of families and youth. Love that it used to be a courthouse...great original features to the building.

I loved this hostel! It's cheap by London standards, close to Kings Cross which has great transportation day and night. The hostel is very clean with loads of hangout areas, a bunch of computers and even a bar with drink specials and events planned every night. You could seriously never leave the hostel and have a great time. The bathrooms are clean, as are the dorm rooms and the breakfast is great, lots of variety as well as a large kitchen to cook your own food in after the breakfast crowd leaves. Security is pretty good, you need a key card to get into the dorm area. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting London.
