      Not So Bad

I am satisfied with the hostel, although there were a few problems. I stayed in a shared room and it had a TV set. I didn't care about it at first, but there were a few guests watching it even after midnight, although the others were sleeping. Another problem was about deposit. Because I had to leave the hostel early in the morning, I had to return my key by ten on the previous day. The other problem was, there were only a few bathrooms. Still, considering its cheap rate, it was worth staying.

Decided that we'd be going back to The Rocks area today to go to the Observatory.
We were both quite tired as the french had woken us up in the night!

Caught the bus up to The Rocks, then headed towards the Observatory. Ended up walkingdown some small alleyway that reminded me of Hay-On-Wye. It was absolutely boiling, the humidity must …

Woke up at 5am to the sound of a storm outside! Sounded like heavy rain, guessed we wouldn't be going out for the day. Went back to sleep, when we woke up it was boiling hot and sunny!

Woke up and got ready, the cleaning guy came in and moved the bin off the fan, then realised it was the only thing keeping it form shaking itself to bits, he went and got us a new fan then. We'd decided to go and see the Sydney Opera House and Harbour bridge today. It was a 40 minute walk to get there, but found there was a free bus that went near …

      The Bus

A travel blog entry by codie on Jan 19, 2015

Didn't get all that much sleep on the bus, kept waking up. The Bus stopped in Canberra and the bus became a bit deserted.

The bus arrived at 8am ish and we got off with all our stuff, my phone had run out of battery so had to ask a guy to search for the hostel on his phone.
Once we figured out the direction we headed off. Missed it to …

      Sydney. Friday, August 29, 2008

... end destinations. Since about half of the busses stopped near my hostel, there was no way of knowing which one to take without asking the driver, but it made it difficult with large groups of people behind you trying to get on probably cursing off the tourist under their breath. It took some time to figure out how the system operated. I showered and put on my dress clothes, and made my way off to my last down under adventure. An 8:00 Beethoven ...
