Perth at last!

A travel blog entry by adeline

Some breakfast and a few phone calls home followed by a bus to the airport. We are in loads of time for today's flight! On arrival into Perth, we chat to the car rental companies at the airport, where we learn that the best way to get a cheap car is to price each company against each other as they are all out to beat each other! Europcar's …

We had the best flight out of Cairns! We luckily got a window seat and we flew straight over the Great Barrier Reef, it was spectacular. The coral and littles islands just went on for miles and miles. Our flight down to Sydney got even better as we got a great view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House when we were coming into land, it was …

To the city!

A travel blog entry by brettski

For the first time on this trip, I slept in. It felt very satisfying to sleep for at least 8 hours. We did not have to be ready to go until 11am, so I slept until 10 am. We made our way to the airport and said our goodbyes to Reggie. I'm gonna miss that guy; he is really an awesome guy. We checked in and sat around in the airport. Some of us ate a …

Getting worked at bondi beach

A travel blog entry by brettski

Amy, Mandy, and I used our last day in Australia as a chance to try what I have always wanted to do: surfing. We woke up and boarded a bus to Bondi Beach. I completely ran out of money yesterday. I tried last night and this morning to exchange more but all of the banks and money changers were closed. Ryan was nice enough to exchange $70 of my USD …

Met up with one of Aidys friends for a yak and pint before heading over to Kings Cross area. Met up with a few lassies from home (Helen, Joan Kelly and Elaine Deery) which …

Not So Bad

I am satisfied with the hostel, although there were a few problems. I stayed in a shared room and it had a TV set. I didn't care about it at first, but there were a few guests watching it even after midnight, although the others were sleeping. Another problem was about deposit. Because I had to leave the hostel early in the morning, I had to return my key by ten on the previous day. The other problem was, there were only a few bathrooms. Still, considering its cheap rate, it was worth staying.
