Had an Aboriginal Sleep and wet my bed, poor security, the plac smelt, cooking facilities are ok, but not much to do for a hostel. Pricey, but cheaper then Melaluca.

I came just for one night in this backpacker and I was really, really welcome.
Nice and clean rooms with air con, nice linen, lockers for each person.
They have a comfortable sundeck with spa and smoke area.

well equipped kitchen and they keep your luggage when you check out for free!

    Highly recommended!

The ppl here are super nice and very accommodating. I have beem here are 2 occassions and both my experiences have been great.
The first time I came here the ppl here were very down to earth and easy to approach with any questions I had as a lone backpacker.
Two months later I found myself at chilli's again, I made a mistake in my booking and the receptionist was very understanding to my situation and accomodated me in whichever way she could.

So far things have been great, and it doesnt hurt that the other guy at the front desk is pretty easy on the eyes ;)

    cheers, and happy travels!

Not much to report today. I imagine A has had a much more exciting time in Kununurra - maybe I can persuade him to write about it on here one day!

So I visited a few hire car places to ask about Monday before catching the shuttle bus to Parap Road Market - a nice little 'mini Camden market' in the suburbs. Wandered around there for an …

Halloween today. Very odd to experience it in such heat and humidity and I can't reconcile all of the Christmas decorations in the shops. It's freaking me out! Had quite a dull and frustrating day of planning but we needed it. Spent a ponderous morning deciding whether to hire a car and drive to Kununurra so A can take the scenic flight of the …

Bread and honey for brekkie in the hostel and then picked up the hire car and drove out of Darwin. Very easy driving as they drive on the left, the car was an automatic and Australia seems to have the longest, straightest roads ever! En route to Litchfield National Park we had a change of heart (time based!) and decided to turn east and go to the …
