When I head to Africa it looks like I'll probably go to South Africa first, catch a couple of weeks of the world cup then head off into "proper" Africa on my tour to Nairobi. The only problem is Uni starts around the 25th July so I've gotta be back around then.

... t kept their website up to date as we landed up on a bit of a wild goose chase. Poor Jimmy was chauffeuring us all over the place. Bit dissapointed but at least she tried. Hot hot in the city but we stopped for a pub lunch at the Plough Inn!! Lovely place, the Southbank reminded me of walking along the Thames, we even went on the Brisbane Wheel (smaller version of the London Eye). Nice day ...

... and I were planning, he said he'd love to do a trip like that someday. I spoke to Scoot and Ash, we invited the good man, and he's joining us. Pretty random, but looking forward to it. This also negates any feeling I might have had about being the proverbial 'third-wheel'. If he turns out to be a potential axe-murderer, we could probably ask him to check the rear tyres on the RV and drive off when he steps outside. Problem ...

... the trapeze. We left before the abysmal 'everyone get up and dance and sing together' routine got into full swing, and decided it was time for some shots and more beer back at the worker's digs.

We were waved off by Katie and loads of workers from Club Med (who were actually seeing off the paying customers but hey, we felt important - Hendel the chief even shook Dan's hand and asked us to come again). Long after we'd looked away, distracted by ...

Despite our nerves, the trip was a breeze - until we got home.

We had just got the hang of going forwards and suddenly we needed to move her...backwards. No-one mentioned reversing???

After a few tense moments (which felt like hours) we got Milly unhitched from the car - success!

Except that she was now parked ...

Since returning from Heron Island and New Zealand I haven't had many great adventures. In fact, I don't think I've had any, unless you count a windsurfing excursion that Matt and I took, where he went windsurfing and I read a book for my history paper... Otherwise the majority of my time has been spent in the Social Sciences and Humanities Library, researching either realist foreign policy/US foreign policy or Indonesia-Australia ...

... sitting on one of Brisbane's bridges...the title of the photos speak for themselves!!! Whilst walking down one of the main streets in Brisbane city centre one morning we stumbled across a street bar which was showing the Everton - Man United FA Cup semi-final. Watching Fergie's face was fantastic as they went out on penalties - an even greater pleasure viewing this from the other side of the world!

... the bed I thought was mine had been occupied from the night before so I had to move. To where I did not know because there were 2 seemingly empty beds but only 1 was free. I sought advice from my room mates and chose one. Of course it was the wrong one and I was woken up when the girl whose bed it was turned up in the room.
