The receptionist gave us a funny look, probably because we didn't for the standard profile of well dressed middle classed Americans and sent us up to our room on the 14th floor for the night with two huge comfy queen beds and more towels than we could ever need. However, being about 1:30 in the afternoon, we forced ourselves up and to engage in some delirious exploration of downtown LA.
We picked up pizza, explored the candy isle at Walgreens, dropped into Macy's and Ross' for a bit of light shopping and counted the sirens that blared past.
On a side note: does anyone know if there are a lot of fires in LA? Because ...
