... was weer goed in orde zoals tot nu toe altijd. 's middags hebben we de bus richting het strand genomen. Onze eerste stop was de Santa Monica Pier. Zoals de andere pieren altijd gezellig. Op het einde was er een leuk terrasje in de zon ( mexicaans, Mariasol) en daar maar snel iets gegeten en gedronken, De rest van de middag zijn we de kust afgewandeld richting LA tot aan Venice Beach en hebben de bus daar genomen terug naar het ...

... don't worry if you don't recognise the name most of us know him as the blond kid from Karate kid...does the saying "sweep the leg Jonny" ring any bells? I pointed him out to Scott who then yelled " sweep the leg Jonny"! We weren't 100%25 sure it was him until we got back and googled him and yes low and behold I was right! Needless to say my husband was very proud of me and so was I for recognising him....I did watch that film 100 times with my uncle George growing up ...

... and snot and stuff, it was still hard to leave them all. Charlie was in floods again, as was Julia. Laura, however, was ecstatic as Viv presented her with her personal Swiss-Army knife all the way from actual Switzerland, which is bigger than Laura's...she was chuffed to bits! It was really hard to say goodbye to Graeme; he's been an amazing trek leader and is just such a lovely person, I think we'll both miss him. Adrienne and I were pretty exhausted after the Huntington and just hung out and caught up after, much like Todd and Cooper were doing :).

For our last dinner here we had all you can eat sushi! It was awesome!

I want to thank Adrienne, Bobby and Cooper for braving the traffic and showing us a great time!

... we found a hotel near to the airport with the obligatory
laundry facilites, unloaded Gary washed the rest of his inners and
then sadly put him into hibernation for a while – you may have been
a little slow Gary but we had fun!!!

With Gary gone, the task of fitting everything into the bags was taken in hand. A little gentle
persuasion, re- arrangement and just plain forcing it in, and we were ready.
