      ... along the Mexico border keep your ID / passport to hand in the car, makes border patrol checkpoints a lot easier.

      Air New Zealand were really good, reasonably priced, comfortable, edible food, endless on-demand entertainment, entertaining safety videos, friendly helpful crew. The Skycouch upgrade is worth it if you want to sleep, probably not so if you don't.

      Gas (petrol) is cheap! Certainly compared to England anyway.

      ... only had they left us a card saying ‘Congratulations Mr and Mrs Angus’ and a cake, there was also all you can eat snacks at the front desk. M+Ms. Oreos, Mountain Dew (every bear’s favourite), you name it, you could have it. It was pretty much the best day of my life.

      ... and parked the car and walked halfway across and then continue driving to Santa Rosa which was about an hour or so away.

      We arrived in Santa Rosa, and basically took it easy. Over the next 2 days we explored Sonoma which is one of my favourite places! I love the square and the trees and park right in the middle of it. We had a very nice lunch, bought wine and walked around. It was really relaxing.
