Today we started our journey to the states. For Damian it's his eighth visit to LA and my second. But a first for us together. We woke early and finished packing our final luggage making sure passport and cash was in hand before being collected by our chariot to the airport. We ordered a wagon and got a bus. Just a little funny. Nothing like over doing it. It was a little strange leaving as we really haven't had the best lead up or countdown to the trip. We were both excited ...

... used in the Terminator movie too. Yep I,m sure you know the part where Arnie was cruising on the motorbike with his big shot gun. That's the spot!

We traveled past a few more not very interesting spots, but bus driver Kenneth made us all have a giggle. One in particular was the interchange to the next highway. At one point a funny Brazilian pair from the heart of the Amazon excitedly left the main group in search of a strip club, though we declined their offer to join them. The quiet nature of Hollywood's bars and clubs on a Wednesday was illustraed when we found ourselves in a priority queue to a bar that didn't have anyone inside, never mind ...

... our order came it was 2 veggie rolls each, I managed to eat about 1 and a half if it, but that's probably only because I'd spent nearly 4 hours walking. However, I will admit some of the food here is amazing, Chipotle is my favourite restaurant so far (Mexican). For my cousin's birthday we went out to a place called Yard House they do mostly typical American food and my cousin ordered starters and I placed my order for my main course. I was so full up by ...

... seat, we said our goodbyes and he boarded the plane. I still had some time before my flight so I walked around the satellite terminal. I noticed the gate numbering was very odd. Instead of odd gate numbers on one side and evens on the other, they numbered the pier in chronological order starting with 31 and wrapping around to 49. So gates 31 and 49 were right next to each other. The satellite terminal itself didn't have a great selection of ...
