We're both rubbish sleepers on planes. Al reckons he got none and I might have got three or four hours in the 13 and a bit it took to get to LA. We made up nearly half of the time we'd been delayed and pulled up to the gate 35 minutes late. We decided to duck into the area where all the venice beach markets are which runs adjacent to the bike path. This area was pretty cool. There are heaps of people around and lots of funky stalls. The other guy at lunch was the Oakland local who was returning home on his last leg of a year long round the world ticket. Offered that we made ...

... through Crenshaw and Compton. The train included hobos and we felt more unsafe than on any other metro we've been in! Once we reached Hollywood boulevard it was well worth it though, as we saw the walk of fame and went for a general wander on the road. We made sure the first meal we ate was a massive burger as it made a change to tacos and burritos! Jenni was loving the whole image of hollywood which was the ...

We're taking our own food and water

doing something to share/try at each place though and today it was 32
