Brussels, Belgium is the capitol of European commerce and politics. The city is one of the more expensive to visit. Our main purpose for coming here was to go to a medieval festival in a village nearby. So when we arrived in Brussels almost four days early, we were at a lose for what to do. We arrived around 5:30 pm on my birthday (the 26th) and …

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition …

Whats on today's agenda i say to Al. The response is we've seen most of Brussels bbut lets go to the Atomium. Its this structure of an atom built for the world EXPO. We hear it is not too far to walk, maybe an hour but we dont have a map which includes this area. We go anyways. The first bit is easy, we even find some signs but then we get …

The WiFi was awful and only the main building. Most aff was helpful. We had to switch rooms and the or with great but I had to deal with a man first who was completely rude. The bathroom was outside and shower in separate buildings. The shower needs a curtain to keep your clothes dry too. The rooms were quite chilly even with the heat on. Real close to the north train station though

Once we finally found our pathetic excuse of a hostel (Van Gogh), the following occurred....they had no booking for us, our room wasn't even in the hostel, the Wi-Fi was broken, the showers didn't work, the beds were cement, the breakfast was shit and we were in the Bronx of the city. Oh I forgot, and we still paid 20.00 euro each for the night, what a joke! I'm not one to normally complain but it was substandard.
