    ... Coming out the other side of the square down the steps to overlook the Yarra River, which had cox headed rowing events going on today. Taking the steps down to the river front we had a magnificent view of the St Kilda's road bridge across the river.     ... for them, some bright spark decided to place them next to a Filipino stall that was roasting whole pigs and chickens on skewers. Everything in the surrounding area smelled of pork, including the vegetarians and their food.

    ... prayer!!! We sat up in the lounge on Level 7 of the ferry (same level as our cabin) watching the news and ate our tea (chicken rolls I had made). Ran into an old badminton friend who was returning home after 9 weeks holiday. When I asked where his wife, Vicki, was, he replied that she had flown home yesterday! Smart girl!     So today is Friday, which means we've survived our first working week in Melbourne (although B hasn't worked at all, and G has only worked 4 days!). Last night we think there was lots of thunder (either that or our neighbours were being ridiculously noisy).
