And the story goes on. Today we traveled from Nimes in France south to Barcelona in Spain OLE. The weather wasn´t very good on the way. Lots of rain, but we were dry and comfortable, so no complaining there. We took our time driving and once in Spain we abandonded the Motorway and took the road along the coast. We passed through all the favorite holiday spots for the Dutch and English. What a joke. When we still lived in Holland, wild horses couldn´t drag Coen to this area. Now he enjoyed it ...
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands dewolffamilyWe are still in Barcelona and having a great time. Yoday we decided to do the tourist thing like we did in New York. Not very cool, but taking a guided bustour is the best way to get to know a city really fast. Like I said we did this in NY and it rea;;y worked for us. Today we saw a big chuck of Barcelona, nore to follow tomorrow. We do realise that it's impossible to see all the shop. Barca is a serious competitor for NY when it comes to shopping. The city (wit 4 million people living here)...

Barcelona, Spain and Canary Islands mooseineuropeWe got up early in the morning to finish up the packing we'd started the day before and to try and leave everything tidy in the apartment. We finished everything in time for a quick breakfast before we left to the airport. The day before we had said our goodbyes to the people we managed to meet; some till next year and some others till who knows when...maybe never. Nonetheless we promised to keep in touch after an e-mail exchange and quick and painless goodbyes. We drove to the airport with ...

... details for the rest of our time in Europe and the upcoming month. It seems strange to make plans after not having plans for the longest time but it is essential. I think headed over to the Gaudi park and miseum. The park itself is really nice and gives you some great views across the city to the ocean. I then walked through the trees and came across another Dr Suess inspired area. There wasd a plateau that was held up with 84 posts aznd hollow underneath. All of it was decorated with ...
Barcelona, Spain beautiful_freak... to Cairo is the last leg of our RTW ticket. Since it is the last flight, there isn't the concern that the rest of the ticket would be void. The problem is that according to the fine print on the ticket, should we choose not to return to the point of issue, we run the risk of having to pay the full fare cost for the point to point trips for each leg of our journey. Imagine the cost of 19 separate full fare tickets! Just the Santiago to Easter Island flight alone would be over a ...
Barcelona, Spain bermudezGetting Lost Well. Yeah. To be fair, Barcelona is one of the easiest cities in the world to get lost in. Even Jenna had trouble finding one of her regular bars the other night. But that said, I really did become an expert at it. The first day was almost excusable(although I did have a map that day!), however the city centre is relatively small which means I should have had some idea by, say, day 5. Nope, I was still managing to get lost, and have poor France drag us out of the ...
