Rio is fabulous, I love it. Sadly the weather has been a bit **** so we have only had one really good day on the famous Copacabana beach. So having lost Ross to the comfort of his bed for the boat party we were determined to have at least one night out together in Rio. We took an afternoon flight from Fernando de Noronha to Sao Paulo via Recife. It arrived at 11pm and we decided to spend the night in the airport and get the 5am flight to Rio arriving at 6am. The time dragged a bit but on the whole we were pleased with our choice and manged to get to the hostel by 7am.
This is where our plan went a little ary. Karen had written repeatedly to the hostel requesting that we had a bed for the night before ...

... far but had to move as this one didn't have any availability. I will then head the beach and tonight I think Ill watch the sunset from a huge rock at the end of the beach. I have still plenty to see before I move on next Monday so I will right again soon.
