... large dishes of prawns with broccoli rice and seafood spaghetti. This food was delicious and went down a treat after the madness on the beach.

Again another early night tonight (i know, wild aren't we?) as we are planning to head out early tomorrow to go up Sugar Loaf Mountain.

It's crazy how things that seem like such a disappointment can end up being such incredible experiences!

To be completely honest, most of our time in Paraty was spent in the beach bar on our doorstep which was not a bad thing in the slightest. We spent a day kayaking around the beaches with a guy called Paulo (self proclaimed '2 legged crocodile' when it came to women) which cured the hangovers although Kat is still sporting the bright red shins that we picked up ...

... lol. Much like our Whitsunday's, although not as reefy. Almost the waters appear to be harbourish, rather than open seaish, not too clear, though plenty of fish as I was to discover! So we chugged our way out through the bay, a large cruise ship anchored some way out, it's tenders running back & forth. Luckily there was a nice British couple on board, or I'd have had no one to talk to, even the obvious tourists all spoke Portuguese! I guess it IS a big country ...
