I am in Edinburgh after a long day of trains that began with a picnic and a nap in a park in Cambridge. I planned on touring the city or the school or something and taking in as much of that little nucleus of history as I could, but then I fell asleep in the park. I think it was worth it. halli hallo, da ich nun mit dem arbeiten im holiday inn aufgehört habe und wieder zurück in der schule bin, hab ich gleich mal meine freizeit genützt und bin nun 4 tage nach schottland gereist... ich verbrachte 4 wunderschöne tage in edinburgh. Machte eine Tour durch die Highlands, mit Besichtigung von Stiriling, Glasgow, Nationalpark Trossachs, Loch Lomond, Linlithgow und Besichtigung der bekanntesten Whisky Distillery Glengoyne und natürlich auch mit Whisky Verkostung....

Caught the train up to Scotland at the crack of dawn and watched the beautiful scenery go by. Had to carry my extremely heavy bag up the hill to the old part of Edinburgh - note to self, will have to chuck/send stuff home else I will have serious back problems on my return to oz. 18th and 19th April - Edinburgh We were up early again to visit the Glasgow Necropolis before leaving for Edinburgh. The Necropolis has many huge gravestones and crypts. It also had great views of the city and cathedral but it was freezing so we didn't stay too long. We then went into the cathedral at the bottom of the "big grey rock" which was the necropolis.
