... was calm, serene, quiet...Florence was loud, crowded and chaotic. Ken tried to convince me to walk or try the city bus, but with our huge-ass suitcases, I was not in the mood to wander through the city where we weren't familiar. We caught a cab and took the short ride to the hotel, but after seeing the route, we were both glad we had taken that option as while it wasn't far, it was a bit of a convoluted route.

Traced some of the steps of "Robert Langdon" from the book Inferno today. We saw the corridor that crosses over the Ponte Vecchio to the Palazzo Vecchio; there we saw the Hall of 500, the Hall of Geographical Maps (all hand painted maps) and Dante's Death mask.
