Goodbye truck, hello South Africa

A travel blog entry by gazburn

September 21st - Having said goodbye to our driver we left the truck in Namibia and travelled to South Africa by bus. The scenery on our journey to Cape Town was quite unbelievable with vineyards and snow capped mountains. September 22nd - We hiked up table mountain which took four hours and was exceptionally nerve wracking as we edged our way …

Eine Woche in Capetown

A travel blog entry by stefanlizontour

Hallo zusammen :)

A real look at South Africa

A travel blog entry by kendrasworld

Mike finally got over the fact that yes, in South Africa in the winter it might rain. What really helped his mood was taking boxing lessons from a SA three time world champion so he could be like Peekay in the Power of One. The boxing lesson was hard though, I don't think I have ever done so many push-ups before ever...even at Equinox which is …

Sunny days in Cape Town

A travel blog entry by kendrasworld

The sun finally came out!

Yesterday we woke up seeing the first hint of sun - granted this was followed by rain, and then sun again - but it was sunny (though not warm) nonetheless. In lieu of this, we decided to hike up Lion's Head peak. Apparently Lions Head got its name because from the top of Table Top mountain the peak looks like a …

Exploring more of Cape Town

A travel blog entry by carlosherbane

Wow what a way to end this incredible journey. Today was one of the best yet and for sure one to remember. I got early despite my continued aches and pains and got out to explore the city. My first stop was Company Gardens, a haven in the city and the place I met Wendy who took me to the Slave Lodge and change my day (I was going to the beach …

    All you need

It's got everything a traveller needs... beds, showers, toilets, chill area and BAR. That's all you need and it is in a great location, walkable distance to the waterfront but also near to bars and places to eat. The people are cool, mostly just drifters but all with the same mindset of a backpacker and will help with anything, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good budget - no fuss accommodation.
