Great location, but the hostel itself was very noisy and not too clean. Really friendly staff, has a small bar area and a reasonable place to buy breakfast in the morning.

    All you need

It's got everything a traveller needs... beds, showers, toilets, chill area and BAR. That's all you need and it is in a great location, walkable distance to the waterfront but also near to bars and places to eat. The people are cool, mostly just drifters but all with the same mindset of a backpacker and will help with anything, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good budget - no fuss accommodation.

Used the morning to get stuff sent home and washing. We then went to Nandos for lunch, bit different from home (no halloumi, perinaise and had a different way to rank their spices) and a lot cheaper. We then walked around the city, bought some things in Greenmarket square, found company gardens and parliament. For dinner we went to a great burger …

    Last day in Africa

A travel blog entry by hannahriddoch on Nov 18, 2014

So for our last day in Cape Town we decided to hike up lions head. Took us just over an hour with some steep bits, where ladders and chains were needed, the views of table mountain, the city and camps bay were absolutely amazing. We then headed to the district 6 museum and learn how the apartheid took it's toll on that area of Cape Town. Headed …

Today was my last Friend Nomad though, Ervin. We did a party party in my room last night to end the stock of drinks that our friends left me. Can inform you that probably the end of this trip I will need some time in a spa, losing a few pounds and recovering from alcoholism

Once again, I have fallen in love with another country. I am
starting to believe that this could be a problem. I think my parents
are beginning to worry that they may never see me again (or at least
they should be)… The night before we reached South Africa, I was
extremely excited to get there. We had been sailing down the...
