Accommodation nothing special, but it was clean and remote, restaurant was nice.
Felt like being on a island.

The room was average, clean and basic. Not much to do around the resort. Restaurant was expensive and the activities weren't cheap.

It is a little farther away from everything else but so worth it. Beautiful place, with private beach access. Wish I could have stayed longer!

      Free Upgrade :-)

We got a free upgrade and so had en-suite bathroom for the first time in months. The food in the restaurant was good and the bar wasn't too expensive. Rooms were clean and well presented. The only downside was that the bugs were ferocious. Not the accomodations fault but something that you need to be aware of if you are visiting Cape Tribulation.

      Out at the end

The dorm rooms are basic, and the running water in another building about 5 mins away. The kitchen was lacking in equipment, but clean. The premium dorms are worth the price, as they have a bathroom. The restaurant was a bit steep, and it's about 1 hour walk to any store. The cabin surroundings are green and attractive, with winding paths. The beach is 5 mins from the cabins, but not visible from the resort. The pool was shaded and a bit cool, but clean.

Woke up and got all our stuff together, went and checked out at 9:30am so I could call the hire company. They said call back in 15 minutes… Rang them back and they said someone was nearby to pick us up.

Got picked up and taken to the hire place, checked all our stuff into the book of the car. (A Hyundai i20). Sorted out all the …

Woke up and had breakfast. This consisted of Jam on toast. The bread had gone a bit stale but was fine.
Got our stuff together, got in the car and headed to the snake place so we could book a night tour of the rainforest.
Booked the tour then drove a bit further down to one of the board walks through the rainforest.
      Only saw a few …

So tired! My bus comes just after 7am to take me on the Cape Tribulation tour. Our tour guide is very funny, very Australian! "Nnooo worriiees" :-) It takes a while to get there but the coastal drive is quite pretty. We cross the Daintree River and enter Cape Tribulation. When we stop at the Alexandra Range Lookout I get chatting to a couple of …

Oh my gosh this place is amazing! Right where you leave the oldest rainforest in world and literally walk onto the beach to see the Great Barrier Reef, the only place on earth where two World Heritage Listed places lay side by side. It is a peaceful little spot where you can disappear to, with no mobile reception you can get lost in this dreamy …
