Travels during Reading Week: Toronto
Reading week!
My job is pretty much a dream
On day two of my job search, I decided I had to go further afield and caught the subway up to Yorkdale Mall. To give you an idea (if you're from Sydney), it's probably about as far away from downtown Toronto as Hurstville is from the city. Or maybe even Sutherland. When I was travelling around by Greyhound bus, they would always make a stop at …

Toronto
I was eager to go to Canada for a long time, but it is far from my home country, so it was almost impossible to go there while I had a job in Japan. One of the reasons I wanted to go to Canada was it is an English-speaking country. Actually, it is important for me to go to an English-speaking country theses days, because now I'm studying English …
Toronto or old New York
Toronto is a nice city at the Ontario lake. At the moment it is a big construction site though. Some streets look like in New York or any big city financial district but then you can also find some nice old bricked buildings like the distillery district, St. Lawrence Market and on Queen Street West. The city is divided into districts for …

The rooms are spacious, but older. There are lockers, the kitchen could be bigger even though there are many fridges and you can also cook and eat in the room upstairs. It misses a sort of lounge and is maybe a bit too small for the amount of people. The location is great and it is still quiet even though it is very centrally located.

The hostel is smack bang in the middle of King and Queen, so an ideal location, and has plenty of room in each of the dorms for you to spread your things around. The lockers in the rooms are big enough for your valuables, and there are larger lockers in the basement for big backpacks, available if you need somewhere to leave stuff on your last day too. The price is reasonable, and they offer free breakfast, although it's pancakes, which gets a little boring after a few days. The staff are helpful, and the sheets are clean, what more could you want?
