Well, since Q updated you last, we spent another couple of days in Brunei, including a visit to the famous mosque in the capital city Bandar El Bagawan (fabulous gold covered minarets!), only unfortunately we couldn't look round as it is closed on Thursdays so that they can get it ready for Fridays (which is the Muslim day of prayer - like our S...

Wed 4th June - Today we flew to Cairns. It is soooo hot here! It is really nice here too. It's like a cool small city. After a bit of a boring flight from Sydney, we arrived in Cairns and at our hostel later on in the evning. The hostel, though slightly a bit out of town, was fine - plus we got free meals to one of the local watering holes in town (though we found out later on it was the club 18 to 21 kind of place), though we never took advantage of this becaus...

G'day everyone. This will be our last blog from Oz, quite the sad ocassion. We arrived back in Cairns on Tuesday evening (the 8th). The next day we cruised into town to have alook around. We parked up and had a stroll around the esplanade, which is a nice lively spot with a pool for you to swim in if the heat gets to you too much! After having l...
