So after convincing josh this would be more fun than going into town to shop, we headed out into the rain. Up a dirt road hill, down the other side, stopping a local to clarify directions in our pigeon espanol, to turn down a dark dirt alley -- and come upon a pole barn with a bunch motorcycles parked in front. The turf field was separated from the fans by ...

On this day, I finally got to try the obligatory zip line. We lucked out because the previous night it had started to rain and it continued into the morning.

By 9AM however, it cleared up and we had a great view of the Arenal volcano on the way to the zip line place: Sky Adventures.

Great scenic view, and such magical moment shared with my family. One I will not forget!
We stayed at this hotel for three nights. It felt good to get a break from the jungle for a few days and into some dryer climate too.

... adrenaline was still pumping through my veins! If you ever make it to Costa Rica, this is a must do! Back at the hotel we relaxed and rested for a few hours, enjoying some very unusual birds that showed up by the restaurant. We even hit the wonderful hot tub before dinner. The clouds have come in and obscured the view of the volcano, but it is beautiful nonetheless. Now we are sitting at the bar while I blog and art is watching the Super Bowl. Another perfect day coming to a close. ...
