... never really mentioned relationships! Instead did a lot of 'personality' exercises, to try and work out who we really are, and to be free in that.
Monday we looked at the different internal languages; hearing/knowing, seeing and feeling. You can tell someone's internal language by just listening to their word choices: 'Do you know what I mean?' 'Do you see what I mean?' 'Do you understand how I feel?' The best way to connect to someone and communicate clearly is to use their ...
... coin operated access, a communal kitchen complete with kitchenware, a TV that would be better described as a picture tube for it's antiqueness, and something resembling a pool table. It's perfect for those who want to meet down to earth fellow travelers and for those who want only to be exploring outdoors as much as possible. It was adequate for sleeping ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada dnunz... considering recent genocide - Food (Kmer traditional food was amazing) - Interesting history - Architecture - Angkor! Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada mwallz... behind us but we tried to stay cool and kept going at a brisk pace - not long after we found ourselves back in the friendly side of Vancouver and the druggy had disappeared in another direction much to our relieve. Vancouver is full of friendly, genuine people but like any city it has it downsides - only one block of it, it would seem. We were surprised at how quickly that scene snuck up on us.
After our little adventure, we decided to forget about walking to ...
... I guess. On making our way around to Stanley Park we stumbled onto a Visitor Information Centre, where I gathered some information about Lyn Valley/Canyon for tomorrow and also the buses to the airport. After lunch at a lagoon at the start of Stanley Park, we set of for the massive walk around. Some really beautiful views were seen and a lot of walking done. I was getting really weary and probably a little whinny about my sore feet by the end when ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada vhenschke... course at Jericho beach. I've been learning various wet-exit and rescue techniques, which are fun but it's been a little cold at times. The course is building up to planning and going on a weekend day-trip along Indian Arm. The sunsets from the beach are amazing and the seals come out to play every week, shame I can't take my camera out with me. I hope to get some pics with a disposable on the day-trip so watch ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada jta... many new friends. All the music was excellent but one of the DJ's just rocked ****! He played a Bon Jovi mix that will forever be cemented in my brain. On the way back to the hostel Jonathan cups his last pair of nuts for the trip. We stay up late and get tipsy enough so I don't think about how nasty the hostel bed is.
Day Four:
We change places going from one extreme to the other. I booked one night in a hostel and the next in an upscale flashy ...
... pretty easy to combine donut eating with other activities around town. A donut & small coffee only cost you $2.08, compare this with $6.00 for the equivalent meal in Australia and you begin to see why its worth travelling 17000 km for some decent donuts. My first stop here was the Capilano suspension bridge. This is the highest suspension bridge in the world (so they say) and is set amidst a beautiful temperate rain forest. The bridge crosses a running river below and crossing it ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada pod501... road a bit, make a steering correction once in a while, and you do other things like, look out the passenger window and try to guess how far you can see to the horizon or, guess how many cows are a-grazin or, program playlists on your ipod or, text your family and friends, maybe make coffee, eat a sandwich or, take nude shots of yourself while pretending to b asleep @ the wheel. The possibilities are endless and it's loads of ...
