    Great stay for backpackers

This was my first experience in a hostel. The staff was super friendly and helpful during our stay. There were always organized events and suggestions every night for everyone. Wifi was free and there was a kitchen facility for guests. The location was not directly in the action, but a very short walk making it perfect.

This was my first YHA ever and I was so disappointed. The rooms were crowded and not enjoyable. Also, my food god stolen. When you come back from a major hike you are really looking forward to a nice meal.... The pool was not inviting and it is a very partying hostel. The staff was not nice either, it really put a shadow on my YHA experience, but thankfully the rest of the YHA were awesome!

It was the end of July and I was in Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass Festival. I arrived late Friday night. I got transported to Byron Bay by shuttle from the airport and parked it on a side street, away from the airport, just 100m from the beach. I left it there for 2 days as I was spending the whole weekend in Byron. I arrive by shuttle at …

We arrived in Byron Bay around mid-morning, to the YHA, much better than the last place! After giving Hanna time to organise her next move from here, we did the coastal walk up to the lighthouse. First of all you walk along Byron Bay Beach and find the path from there.

Before we left the beach we stopped at the lookout there to watch the …

    Hippy beach town!

A travel blog entry by jenbambs on Apr 20, 2015

Byron bay We spent a weekend at Byron Bay, its a little chilled out beach town with hippies everywhere and where Everyman and his dog could play a musical instrument and sing! Our hostel was amazing with a pool and volley ball and all sorts-we also stayed in a big tee pee dorm which I loved! It was also the hostel where the inbetweeners two was …

    Days 48-52: Byron Bay

Byron Bay has kept us pretty much horizontal for the duration of our stay! Snorkelling with turtles, lying in hammocks passing the heat of the day away and kayaking with dolphins. All this combined with the general laid back, super chilled-out lifestyle that pulses through the veins of this surfer-clad town. Our days here have been predominantly …
