Cute and homey - I felt like I was in my own dining room for breakfast. Everything was really clean and nice. I really recommend it.

... the hotel we were booked in for three days. Fluffy towels, private bathroom and a giant comfy bed!

  • The weather had changed again and it was chilly and mainly overcast for most of our time there. In the early evening, we wandererd into the old town and got maps and leaflets from the tourist information office and had a drink in one of the many cafes and bars lining the square. There are lots of microbreweries in Poland selling ...

... through it anyway. Life got better and I managed to be a tourist and not just sleep and eat KFC so an improvement on yesterday, and the day before that. Going out for drinks later I hope that doesn't steal all possible happiness from tomorrow. (Just to let you know it did, and I once again did not leave for Poznan) trend. Met another perfect little polish person when I was evicted from my original dorm called Kasia. We went out for dinner one night and ...

I think we finally have our travel legs underneath us. Last night we went to sleep at around 8:30. We were so tried from traveling. At one point I woke up during the night thinking we missed breakfast only to discover it was midnight. I was freaking. Diane thought I went mad. At any rate, we awoke and had a very filling breakfast and walked outside of the Stary Rynek. We ran ...

We flew into Warsaw (8 hour flight) to catch a quick flight to Poznan. The flight was smooth, only one very unhappy baby crying on and off the whole trip. I was thinking "where's the Benadryl when you need it"? Did manage to sleep with the rather large Pol 's head in my lap when he reclined his seat. Yes, we fly ECONOMY! It made a big difference to leave for a trip at night when it came to our energy ...

    How Awesome is Poland?

How Awesome is Poland? I'll tell you. Even though Communism has been gone for more than 20 years they're still celebrating, and there's no sign that the celebration will end soon. For us the party started when on the train into Poznan we met a young Polish man. When we introduced ourselves, the first thing he did was to offer us his one and only beer he packed for his train ride. It was a Polish beer and he was anxious for us to ...
