Lakes District
Had a big sleep. Was going to do a short walk but when we were about to start the rain came pouring in. Arun and I decided to stay at the hostel while Pete went around Rydal and Grasmere. Stratford-upon-Avon and the Lakes
Today was mainly a day for travelling. Breakfast again from the supermarket next to the hostel. Left relatively early for Stratford-upon-Avon. Saw Shakespeare's old family home, the site of his marital home and his grave (inside the local Holy Trinity Church). At the first home, we learnt the explanations for a few phrases, like sleep tight (beds had to be tightened) hit the hay ...
2 years on
... With just 10 shops under this ‘grass roofed’ piece of architecture, there is a limit to what you would find to appeal to every palate. I would suggest this centre would keep families with children entertained, as it houses a reasonably sized toy shop, the largest 3D cinema in the north west and there is a busy (it was Saturday when I was there) pottery painting workshop.

... chillin' watching house! Booked my flights back for Christmas - YAY! Also managed to pack some (a lot of) bacon to take back with me... loving life!! Gonna miss my bed a lot though - took me a whole 4 hours to climb out this morning! & baths, I'm gonna miss baths! Wonder if I can fill up my shower? Damn France!
