I decided to stop in Brisbane for a couple night basically just to say I've been here. It was kind of strange at first because I had gotten used to the small town vibe. I liked the fact the for the past couple weeks I was in towns that consisted of one main street that I could cover in 5-10 minutes. The flight from Cairns was delayed by half hour and I spent my flight with a thousand chinese tourists who insisted on flouting the basic flying rules (seat back, tray down, bags on lap) - causing us to stay on the runway longer than normal while the crew kicked them in line, it was probably mainly the language barrier for them which the crew finally figured out and all got sorted. I started off my day with laundry, not very exciting but it took far longer than i wanted and ended up costing 10 dollars just to wash and dry a few bits. As I typed my previous entry I was watching overcast skies over Byron Bay hoping that the weather would eventually clear up so I could enjoy my final day there. With 20-20 hindsight, I should've been satisfied with overcast. Ok, in Brisbane now it's the first time that I don't feel well with my room in the hostel. It's a 8 bed dorm and of course you always get a kind of bad smell that way. After a lovely weekend in Adelaide we flew to Brisbane in Queensland. This is where we met up with Doug. He had arrived earlier that morning so we headed to the hostel (Bunk) to meet him.
