Passed an Alliance Francaise (French organisation present a bit every where in the world) and asked them where the burger king was... lol. They told us it was back in the center of town. Grabbed a taxi got ...

... br>are 4 other ruines a little bit further from Cusco, in the Sacred
Valley. These are spread around and therefore not so easy to visit with
local transportation. There were several tours that went to Sacred
Valley ($ 20) through a travel agency, but we wanted to do it less
touristy (2.5 euro). The ruine of Chincherron was for us the most
interesting of the 4 ruines in Sacred Valley. There is also a local
market on Sunday that seemed to be worth while. So ...

... meters away from the town and we had to walk up into the main plaza with the group before we walked up another very steep hill where our hotel was and we were split off into our rooms. The hill with our hotel was lined with lots of restaurants and souvenirs for Macchu Picchu plus other tourists looking around. Things were twice the price but you could by almost everything you would need for the trip if you had not bought it before. At the top there were natural hot water spas in ...
Peru, Cusco, Peru karaandkaydian1) A nice overnight bus ride from nazca to cuzco through the andean foothills changed from the scheduled 12 hours to an award winning 20 hours, genius.
2) Waking at 4 in the morning to what sounded like gunfire, only to find we have blown a tyre in a fairly remote area, 4 hours to the nearest town, probably many more to a reliable garage, and certainly a long way from a reliable AA man called dave.
3) Realising how many peruvians ...

... keeping just what we needed and sending the rest with him back to the hotel in Cuzco where we would stay after visiting Machu Picchu. We had one medium bag between us and Joyce did not feel we could give anything up. Jim and Carol purchased a small bag and once we were in the hotel they pulled what they would need and sent their bags with Edgar. He and the driver were headed back to Cuzco after they dropped us at the hotel. Thus ended another day packed with new sights and experiences.
